As the most important cultural heritage of the ancient Zhuang ancestors in China,the Zuojiang Huashan Rock Art are not only representative of the Rock Art in the Zuojiang River Basin,but also the largest Rock Art discovered with the characteristic of richest-content,and best-preserved which is discovered in China so far.The ST is an excerpt from a popular science book on rock art culture,which systematically introduces the history,protection measures,Huashan spirit and cultural activities of Huashan Rock Art.After reviewing related books and papers,it is found that there are few translation studies on rock art popular science texts in China.With the purpose of spreading Zhuang culture and Huashan spirit to the world and helping more foreign friends who want to understand Chinese national culture and its history in order to promote Chinese culture,and enhance national cultural self-confidence,this report is guided by Hans Vermeer’s Skopos theory,selects typical cases from ST,combine with the translation strategies of literal translation,free translation and the translation methods of addition,omission,conversion,structural transformation,combination and division and so on to discuss,hoping that this report can provide reference for the translation of popular science texts in the future.
