This paper takes the carving calligraphy of the tomb group of the King of Liang in the Western Han Dynasty as the entry point Through the analysis of the shapecontent and calligraphy style of the carving characters of the tomb group of the king of Liang in the Western Han Dynasty,it summarizes the aesthetic interest of this group of carving calligraphy,and then lists other existing carving calligraphy works of the Western Han Dynasty.Through the analysis and comparison of stone by stone it fnds that the pursuit of majestic beauty exists among the carving calligraphy works of the Western Han Dynasty.Secondly,the representative bamboo slips and ink prints of the early Western Han Dynasty and the Middle and late Western Han Dynasty are selected for illustration and analysis and the comparison of stone carving calligraphy and ink prints of the Western Han Dynasty is made through the form of database.It is found that although there are some differences in the specifc forms of stone carving and ink printsthis kind ofaesthetic characteristics is also common in the bamboo slips The scope of this comparison is further expanded to brick,seal gold text and other characters of the Western Han Dynasty.It is found that in the existing Western Han Dynasty calligraphy,Finally,combined with the background of the Western Han Dynasty and the aesthetic works of the people of the time,especially the aesthetic thoughts of Huai Nan Honglie it is found that the text not only affrming the rich and colorful vast beauty of the objective world,but also praising the simple and majestic momentum and power,providing theoretical support for the pursuit of the magnifcent spirit and magnifcent aesthetic characteristics of Western Han calligraphy.
