Stele inscription is a unique literary carrier and artistic form of information recording,and it is also an important part of the study of epigraphy.Since the Pre-Qin Dynasty,the functions,contents and forms of inscriptions have been constantly enriched and developed.Up to the Han Dynasty,the rulers carried out the idea of "depose a hundred schools of thought,respect Confucianism alone" and implemented the system of "raising filial piety and honesty",which led to the prosperity of thick burial and stele inscriptions.Therefore,the Han Dynasty stele inscription has become a major system of stele inscriptions,and the calligraphy art of stele inscriptions is an important part of it.Exploring and explaining Han Dynasty stele inscription calligraphy art has important reference value for the evolution of ancient Chinese characters,the origin of calligraphy art and the study of epigraphy.Stele inscriptions in Han Dynasty are not only huge in number,diverse in form,but also distinctive in style.They are art treasures that can not be crossed in the study of stele inscriptions calligraphy.With regard to the definition of the scope of Han Dynasty stele inscription,this paper holds that Han Dynasty stele inscription calligraphy includes three major parts: Han Dynasty stele plate calligraphy,cliff stone inscription calligraphy and brick calligraphy.This topic also takes the three most representative parts of Han Dynasty stone inscription as the research object,which are "stele plate calligraphy","cliff stone inscription calligraphy" and "brick calligraphy",and tries to sort out and elucidate them and excavate the art of Han Dynasty stele calligraphy.Origin and evolution,content characteristics,artistic style and its impact on future generations.In the Western Han Dynasty,there was no stone inscription called "stele" in shape or function,and the number of stone inscriptions was scarce.On the whole,the inscriptions on tablets in the Western Han Dynasty are clumsy and thick,and the official scripts refer to miscellaneous seal scripts,which shows the characteristics of excessive official scripts during the Qin and Han Dynasties.In the Eastern Han Dynasty,Li Shu became the official style.The stele-printed calligraphy has inherent identity and unity,which is no different from the imitation of Song Dynasty style of computer No.3 used in government documents nowadays.Twenty-two representative stele-printed calligraphy works of the Eastern Han Dynasty have their own merits and merits,and scholars of different dynasties have different opinions.But on the whole,we can see that the artistic style of the Eastern Han Dynasty calligraphy has the characteristics of grandeur,vigor,rectness,clumsiness and good manners.Cliff carvings are made with natural stone walls,shaped with objects,fully utilizing the beauty of nature and integrating nature with man-made.Most of the cliff stone carvings in the Han Dynasty were seal carvings,Li carvings or ancient Li carvings.The style of writing was primitive and simple,and combined with the natural stone wall,it was even more elegant.Shimen Song is one of the best works in Li Shu of the Eastern Han Dynasty,and it is also a representative work of cliff stone carvings.It is complacent and comfortable according to the stone trend.Taking the cliff stone carvings of the Han Dynasty as the source,its style of calligraphy has direct and indirect influence on Tang,Song,Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties and up to now.The brick calligraphy of Han Dynasty shows the characteristics of text schema.The brick inscriptions in Han Dynasty are divided into two parts: depicted brick inscriptions and stenciled brick inscriptions,which have the characteristics of freehand brushwork and deformation;stenciled brick inscriptions have the characteristics of standardization and decoration.At the same time,the decorative features of brick texts further enhance the aesthetic quality of Li Shu.The tablet edition,cliff stone carvings and brick inscriptions of the Han Dynasty have their own similarities and differences.The similarity of the three is that the chiseling tools are the same,and the chiseling tools are mainly Li Shu.The difference is that the chiseling methods,sizes,calligraphers and calligraphy styles are different.The history of culture and art will never be cut off.In other words,the art of calligraphy on Han steles still has an obvious or implicit influence on today’s calligraphy creation. |
