With the increasing and deepening of people’s external communication,the importance of spoken English as one of the main forms of communication is becoming more and more important.For the primary school students who are in the critical period of language learning,it is beneficial to cultivate scientific and reasonable English oral expression ability,which is not only helpful to improve their comprehensive language use ability.Moreover,it is beneficial to enhance the self-confidence of oral expression,reduce the anxiety of oral expression,and promote the effective improvement of English.From the current situation,when primary school students participate in oral English communication activities,there will still be phenomena such as scratching,incomplete expression,and swallowing,and their oral English expression ability needs to be improved.At present,the effect of oral English teaching in primary schools is not significant.The use of the "input-output" theory in the improvement of oral teaching has obvious practical guiding significance.Therefore,based on the perspective of "input-output" theory,strengthening the research on the cultivation of oral English ability of primary school students is of great significance for improving the ability of primary school students to express their spoken English and improving the situation of oral English teaching for primary school English teachers.The survey shows that the primary school students’ oral English expression ability has made considerable progress in language-based teaching facilities,teacher strength and student learning attitudes.At the same time,the cultivation of English oral expression ability of primary school students also has limitations in language input motivation,input conditions and input content,language output awareness,output quality and output environment.Further analysis shows that the problem of primary school students’ oral English expression ability is closely related to teachers’ teaching,school management and students’ own three aspects.From the perspective of teachers,the lack of content and methods of teacher language teaching,language feedback and educational technology ability are the direct causes of students’ poor oral expression ability;at the school level,the establishment of the school language acquisition environment is insufficient,the teachers’ training needs for the professional development of teachers is not enough,resulting in serious obstacles to the development of students’ oral expression ability.Therefore,it is necessary to optimize the oral input channel and expand the oral output channel to actively optimize the implementation of the primary school English oral expression ability training.From the perspective of oral input,the following measures should be taken: first,integrate and expand the input content to ensure the relevance and comprehensibility of the input material;second,the use of flexible language teaching forms to promote students to deepen the understanding of teaching content in order to improve the efficiency of oral learning;third,the use of modern language input means to improve the quality of language input.From the aspect of oral output,the effective strategies to improve the effect of oral output are as follows: first,the improvement of teachers’ professional ability can promote the professional development of teachers from the aspects of optimizing oral corrective feedback and cultivating the ability of teaching reflection;second,the school pays attention to the oral English teaching,from the pre-implementation language learning environment creation and the teacher training,then to the implementation of the teaching activity evaluation work needs the guidance and management of the school level;third,teachers should stimulate the initiative of students’ oral training,promote the generation of positive emotions and enhance the cooperative learning of oral English output.;fourth,schools should strengthen the enthusiasm of parents to support oral activities in schools and jointly cultivate the oral English expression ability of primary school students.;fifthly,strengthen the management of oral English teaching for English majors in colleges and universities.
