A Study On The Ideological Guidance Of The Communist Party Of China To The Left-wing Film Movement

In the 1930s,the left-wing film movement,as the beginning of the Chinese film revolution,provided the necessary preparation for the Party to lead the Chinese nation to complete the ideological liberation.As the forerunner of the construction of Chinese literature and art theory,the Left Wing literary and art movement was gradually developed and formed under the promotion of the world’s left wing literary and art thought,and was also the inevitable product of the period of social upheaval and national crisis.The left-wing film movement emerged from the left-wing literary and artistic movement,and began to carry out the film movement consciously and organized on behalf of the Communist Party of China.This paper mainly studies from the following points: First,it introduces the related concept of "left-wing film" to explain the influence of Marxism and the world’s left-wing literary and artistic trends on the Party and advanced literary and artistic workers from a macro perspective;Secondly,starting from the early left-wing theory advocacy groups in China,this paper explores the historical inevitability of the formation of the left-wing film movement and its development process,and systematically discusses how the Party develops the left-wing film movement.Third,how did the Party take measures to grasp the trend of different class thoughts when the Kuomintang tried to control the public thoughts through films? At the same time,from the early Communist Party members first saw the necessity of the development of film,so as to awaken more intellectuals,people of the ideological aspects of the discussion;Fourthly,the Party gradually accomplished the goal of "popularization" of literature and art during the left-wing film movement,discussed how to popularize literature and art and the implementation of the cultural united front work,systematically elaborated the Party’s experience in this process,and formed a theoretical system of film criticism with Chinese characteristics;During the seven years of left-wing film movement,the Communist Party of China started from scratch and further guided its ideological work through films.At the same time,it warned the public from the ideological level through the strong contrast between the Kuomintang’s soft film view and the left-wing progressive film view.Tracing back to the source,deeply grasping the Party’s ideological and cultural work in the 1930 s,and drawing experience from the ideological development led by the Communist Party of China are the inexhaustible source of power for the Party’s survival and development in the new era.
