Our life today is a constant interpretation of Heidegger’s phrase "The world is grasped as an image",and the mass media has changed from the printed word to a media of "seeing" dominated by visual images.People are constantly looking at the world grasped as images,but they are also constantly looking at the human being himself.In terms of the importance attached to the body,people do not only focus on their own internal health,but also on the external expression of the body,emphasising the beauty of the external physical fashion.People are constantly looking at the world that is grasped as images,but they are also constantly looking at people themselves.And when people watch the images they are constantly constructing a way for the subject’s self to perceive itself.This concentrated gaze allows the body to gaze at a highly homogenised bodily representation,while unconsciously imagining a highly homogenised self,and also allows the body to present a false representation on social platforms,while also causing the alienation of the body through the lack of subjectivity,abandoning self-reflection and critique,and treating the body as a mere physical form that can be changed.This gaze allows the body and mind to move towards a split again in contemporary times,severing the intrinsic connection between the physical world and the spiritual world.This paper selects fitness blogger Liu Genghong from the Tik Tok App platform as the research object because the Tik Tok short video social platform,as the leading short video social platform in recent years,has many users,is widely representative and has a large viewing base,while at the same time Liu Genghong’s career focuses on fitness to change the expression of the body,the apparent form caters to the current aesthetics of the expression of the body,and is typical of the focused body environment.By analysing the current state of attention to representational body aesthetics in short-form social media and the current neglect of empirical body aesthetics in short-form social media,the importance of studying and learning about body aesthetics is explored.The importance of body aesthetics for the subjective person and the increase of body consciousness have an important role in the experience of living in our society today,and can propose corresponding solutions to the phenomenon of homogenisation and falsity of the body,exploring the development of the body landscape in short video social media.
