Study On Seal Script In Five Dynasties

The Five Dynasties,also known as the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms,is a special historical period between the Tang and Song dynasties.The seal script works of the Five Dynasties period mainly rely on stone carving carriers such as inscriptions,inscriptions,and tower inscriptions.This article focuses on analyzing the stylistic features of seal script works during the Five Dynasties period.After summarizing,analyzing,and comparing the documents and stone carvings of the Five Dynasties period,it explores and clarifies the overall development of seal script during the Five Dynasties period;According to different periods and regional characteristics,the seal script works are summarized and sorted out,and the similarities and differences between them are analyzed.At the same time,this article notes that the seal script of the Five Dynasties period is in a state of movement throughout the history of calligraphy development,and even some calligraphers span two periods.There is a direct connection between the seal script of the Five Dynasties and the seal script of the Tang and Song dynasties,and the arrangement of plate data can clearly and intuitively reproduce this connection.Moreover,the achievements of calligraphy in the Five Dynasties period are also closely related to the development of seal script.Finally,the purpose of this article is to observe the overall appearance of the seal script of the Five Dynasties based on the unearthed physical objects and literature materials of the seal script of the Five Dynasties,as well as the elaboration of their own views.
