As a distinctive soprano instrument in the national orchestra, the liuqin, after more than 60 years of reform and precipitation, has leaped from an opera accompaniment instrument to a brilliant pearl on the solo stage. With the enrichment of composing genres and the variation of playing forms, this instrument has shown its unique charm and potential. The concerto "The Sound of the River and the Moon" was composed by Mr.Wang Huiran in 1989 based on the narrative poem "Pipa Xing" written by the poet Bai Juyi in the Tang Dynasty.Mr.Wang Huiran uses the poetry of the Tang Dynasty as the background for his compositions, and the poet uses the words to express his feelings, while the composer combines poetry and music to convey his feelings with his compositions, achieving the fusion of classical literature and modern music, and the Liuqin Concerto "The Sound of the River and the Moon" is one of the representative works of his works in the style of writing. This dissertation takes "Jiang yueqinsheng",a concerto for the willow qin,as the object of study.Chapter 1 discusses the background of the composition of "Jiang yueqinsheng",mainly introducing Mr.Wang Huiran and his musical composition,as well as the background discussion of "Pipa Xing".The second chapter analyzes the composition structure of "Jiang yueqinsheng".The third chapter discusses the performance techniques and the expression of emotions in the use of techniques. It is hoped that through the analysis of this piece, one can once again deepen one’s understanding of "Jiangyueqinsheng" and improve one’s musical aesthetics and perception.
