Ernst Krenek(1900-1991)was an Austrian composer,conductor,music educator and pianist.Krzehnecker’s works range from genres to genres,and the twelve-tone technique is one of the oldest compositional techniques in his composition,which accounts for the majority of his works.Among them,there are seven piano sonatas,three of which are composed by the 12-tone technique,namely,the third,fourth and fifth piano sonatas.Piano Sonata No.3,composed in 1942,is the most representative twelvetone work in Krzynek’s mature period.This paper takes "Piano Sonata No.3" as the research object,aiming at Kjenecke’s theoretical innovation in the 12-tone technique to study the 12-tone technique,but also hopes to provide some meaningful reference for contemporary music in the creation and teaching of 12-tone technique.This paper consists of three chapters and the conclusion:The first chapter gives a brief overview of the composer’s life,stages and works.The second chapter analyzes the prototype of the 12-tone sequence and its application in each movement,as well as the theme of the four movements.The third chapter analyzes and studies the sequence presentation and the composer’s unique sequence techniques.The conclusion mainly summarizes the whole article and explores the aesthetic meaning sought by the composer in the way of 12-tone creation.And to the extension of the twelve-tone technique of Krzynek’s contribution to the full affirmation,as well as the inspiration of contemporary music creation.
