| Vincenzo Bellini was an Italian composer during the Romantic period in the early 19 th century, and was known as the "Three Masters" of Italian opera in the early 19 th century, together with Rossini and Donizetti, and was known as the "Chopin of opera".Bellini’s opera Capulet and Montakoo tells the poignant love story of Romeo and Juliet.Among them,Juliet’s aria "Ah,how many times have I prayed to God for you" shows Bellini’s superb creative skills with a long, mournful melody and extremely difficult flowery singing. This article is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter deals with Bellini’s life and his operatic compositions;Chapter 2 deeply analyzes the aria from the compositional structure, accompaniment texture and harmony analysis, and deeply analyzes the emotional expression of Juliet’s character in combination with the dramatic structure, character relationship, and musical characteristics.Chapter 3 provides an in-depth analysis of the aria’s singing focus and singing technique from the aspects of the perfect combination of language and music, the dazzling technique of flowery brilliance, musical expression marks, and the comparison of different singer versions.I hope to provide some reference and help to singers who study this work, and make a little contribution to the theoretical research in this direction. |
