A Cultural Interpretation Of The Gods And Monsters In Japanese Films

For Japanese films,the image of mythical gods has always been a major feature of its image style,from the nature gods everywhere in the mountains,forests and rivers to the goblins in daily life;From the urban strange talk of terror "royal spirit",to the industrial society of the giant monster.Combined with their own living environment,aesthetic appreciation,religious beliefs,values and so on,the Japanese endows these gods and monsters with profound cultural significance.This paper takes the common gods and monsters images in Japanese movies as the research object,and explores the national characteristics embodied in the daily living habits,aesthetic psychology and cultural beliefs of Japanese people from four aspects: image characteristics,cultural transmutation,cultural core and cultural value.The first chapter introduces the research significance and the research status at home and abroad.The second chapter classifies and analyzes the characters of common gods and monsters,including natural phenomena,animals,human forms and funerary gods and monsters.The third chapter discusses the changes of Japanese monster films in the modern trend,the inheritance and development of monster images and the cultural transmutation under the development of science and technology and material desire.The fourth chapter from the Japanese national characteristics to understand the spirit of the image of the cultural core,including aesthetic,belief.The fifth chapter analyzes the realistic significance expressed by the gods and monsters in Japanese movies,and the guidance for the view of nature,the resumption of faith and the return of authenticity.This article hopes to genie in the article through to the Japanese film image and fantastic culture research,on this basis,the genie image to explore the culture behind the mechanism,so as to reveal such image contains rich cultural connotation,and the projection of the characteristics of the Japanese society,nationality,and then discuss the meaning and value of its existence.It is hoped to enrich the research on the image of gods and monsters in Japanese films in China and provide meager help for the development of the genre films of gods and monsters in China.
