A Study Of Baroque Musical Elements And Versions Of Brahms’ Variations And Fugues On Handel Themes

Brahms’ s Handel Theme Variations and Fugues,one of the three major variations in the history of piano art,has been played by many performers,but there are not many articles exploring this work alone.This paper analyzes the extraction of Baroque musical elements that appear in the work,and selects the performance versions of William Kempf,Rosalyn Turek and Zhang Haochen for comparative analysis,in order to gain a deeper understanding of Brahms’ s piano work and provide a valuable reference for other performers when playing this work.
