Research On The Development History Of The Xiamen Xiaobailu Dance Troupe(1985-2009)

The Xiamen Xiaobailu Dance Troupe(hereinafter referred to as "Xiaobailu")is the earliest professional folk dance troupe established in New China.The predecessor of the troupe was the "Xiamen Experimental Class of Chinese Folk Dance of the Beijing Dance Academy",which was founded by the Xiamen Art School and the Beijing Dance Academy.The research object of this paper is the development history and innovative initiatives of "Xiaobailu".In general,through the systematic collation of the existing documents of the "Xiaobailu",while interviewing the key figures of historical events,the major events of the dance troupe from 1986 to 2009 were sorted out,and the historical materials with the background of the times and the artistic policies at that time were taken as the starting point of research.In this way,the key factors for the success of the dance troupe were comprehensively analyzed.What’s more,it expounded the significance of the special historical event of New China’s first professional folk dance troupe in the era of reform and opening up.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter analyzes the background of the establishment of "Little Egret" and combs the history of dance troupe.The development history of dance troupes can be divided into two stages.The first stage is "Xiamen Troupe",which was conceived from 1986 to 1993.Chapter Two summarizes the important innovative measures in the development of "Little Egret" from four aspects,namely,the policy and mode innovation,the management system innovation,the talent training innovation and the artistic creation innovation.The most important innovative measure is the management system of "combination of schools and groups".Through sharing resources and complementing each other’s advantages,missions and schools have realized win-win results to the greatest extent and explored a sustainable development path.The third chapter summarizes the great significance of the birth and development of "Little Egret",and explains its social significance and value from three dimensions:Xiamen,China and the world.From the dimension of Xiamen,"Little Egret" is a golden card representing Xiamen Special Economic Zone,from the dimension of China,"Little Egret" is a successful model of national art revival,and from the international dimension,"Little Egret" is an art brand of Chinese culture going abroad.The fourth chapter sums up the successful experience of the reform of dance troupes from the support of the government and the dance industry,stick to the roots of folk dance and unswerving pursuit of art.Through the discussion of the course,innovation,significance and enlightenment of the dance troupes,this paper not only helps to deepen the understanding of the evolution of art groups and explore the law of development of Chinese folk dance,but also hopes to provide experience and inspiration for the development of professional art troupes and art colleges in the new era by studying this special case.
