The Study Of Present Development Of National Folk Dance Creation

Chinese national folk dance boasts important cultural and spiritual values.Compared with other types of dances, it could better present the life and productionmodes in certain areas, the people’s unique understanding of the world, the dreamsof wonderful life, as well as the historical features of the Chinese people. Atpresent, due to various reasons, the design and creation of national folk danceshas been slow and hard. Appling comparison of classification, observation anddescription, and experience summarization, this article classifies and summarizesthe current design and creation problems, finds a solution for each of them andconcludes that we should follow the way of comprehensive protection and sustainabledevelopment, attach equal importance and give equal priority to both protection andinnovation in designing and creating national folk dances. We should take activemeasures to protect its historic development process on the current basis,strengthen the protection consciousness, popularizes national folk dance culture,encourage more people to learn about the folk dances of each ethnic group, tounderstand China’s natural and cultural heritages, and to make exchanges with theirminds. Only through progressive development, can we better protect and promote thedevelopment of national folk dance design and creation, resulting in introducingthe Chinese national folk dance to the people, the public, the world and the future.
