The Study On Volume 1 Of Fo Shuo Fo Mu Chu Sheng San Fa Zang Bo Re Bo Luo Mi Duo Jing In Tangut Language

Fo Shuo Fo Mu Chu Sheng San Fa Zang Bo Re Bo Luo Mi Duo Jing(San Fa Zang)translated by Shi Hu(施护)in the Song Dynasty,is one of prajna sutra,which was introduced into the Xi Xia Dynasty at the latest in the sixth year of Xi Ning(1073)and translated into the Tangut language during the period of Renzong.San Fa Zang in Tangut language has abundant editions,a large number and complete volumes,which is of great value in the study of Tangut philology and linguistics.This paper takes volume 1 of The San Fa Zang in Tangut language as the research object,and compares Tangut version with Chinese version and Tangut versions in terms of content,text,vocabulary and sentence pattern,so as to supplement previous research results and provide new corpus and new ideas for Tangut language study.This thesis consists three chapters:Chapter one examines the version and translation date of volume one of the San Fa Zang in Tangut language.The fragment of Or.12380—3399(K.K.II.0235.h)in English collection is confirmed to be volume 3 of San Fa Zang.Therefore,the version of Volume1 of San Fa Zang in Tangut language is five documents in Russian Collection.The Hu Die Zhuang manuscript Инв.No.49 is the translation version,dating from 1169 to 1182;The rest of the versions are the emendation versions,the booklet manuscript of the volume 1 of Инв.No.5650 5747 7066 7372 7644 7656 7669,was written before 1186;.The emendation date of the Ke Ben Инв.No.235,Инв.No.8319 and Инв.No.3315 cannot be determined.But Инв.No.235 and Инв.No.8319 both have painting in front of the sutra.The surviving paintings of Инв.No.235 and Инв.No.8319 have a more complex composition than the one-stage from Инв.No.49.They are divided into four images in neat columns,and the contents of the images are more abundant,including the statue of Dharma protector,the image of the Buddha speaks Dharma,and so on.The layout of the plate is well-proportioned,and the style is distinct,exquisite and smooth,which shows the style characteristics of the painting in front of the sutra of the Xi Xia Dynasty.Chapter two is the translation of volume 1 of the San Fa Zang in Tangut language.Инв.No.49 is used as the base text,and the rest of the text is used as the reference.The Tangut language scriptures are entered and translated into Chinese.In addition,compared with the original scripture of Chinese version,the differences in the Tangut language version and the Chinese version,and the differences of various versions in Tangut language,including the phenomenon of different written characters,transliteration of words,and the phenomenon of leakage,error and reversal,explaining them in the annotations.Chapter three sorts out the phenomena of the different writing and the pheno menon of leakage,error and reversal,corrects the errors and summarizes the writi ng rules of the different characters,in order to make some supplements to the rec ognition of the Tangut language scripts.Furthermore,it makes a descriptive analysi s of Tangut language vocabulary and sentence patterns in the sutra.Chapter three sorts out the phenomena of the different writing and the phenomenon of leakage,error and reversal,corrects the errors and summarizes the writing rules of the different characters,in order to make some supplements to the recognition of the Tangut language scripts.Furthermore,it makes a descriptive analysis of Tangut language vocabulary and sentence patterns in the sutra.Influenced by The Chinese text,the Buddhist exotic words in the sutra is mainly free translation.The formation of compound words in Tangut language is mostly joint structure and modifying structure.However,the translation of Tangut vocabulary is not completely consistent with the Chinese text,the same Chinese words can have different Tangut pronunciation or writing form.Similarly,The sentence patterns of Tangut language also in the same way in this sutra.Through analysis three sentence of the scripture ""(shi)judgment sentences,interrogative sentences,and quoted sentences that can be found that Ren Xiao period of Tangut language translation of the business has been quite mature,at the translation of the same Chinese translation of the sentence,without changing the sentence meaning,habits increase,cut or change the statement,making the sentence patterns more complex and changeable.
