The Application Of Metaphorical Emotional Expression In Surrealist Photography

Surrealism originated from the French literary and artistic school and began to rise around the early 20 th century.This art form evolved from Dadaism and involved a wide range of art fields,such as painting,music,literature,sculpture,photography and so on.This art category is widely used in contemporary art creation.The author takes the surrealist works of many artists as the research object.The research on the works is mainly based on the image metaphor theory.It can be known from the relevant literature that the metaphor theory of Breton et al.plays an extraordinary role in surrealist photography.Therefore,through the combination of metaphorical theory and specific analysis of artistic works,this paper explores the relevant content of metaphorical emotion expression in the surreal photography.To explore the expression and structure of surrealism’s emotion and thought through the construction of metaphorical emotion expression,the core of which is to use metaphor to understand the new connection in the picture.This connection is able to break through many restrictions in the real world,break the traditional way of photography creation,and explore the connotation of the unknown level of reality.The connotation of metaphorical emotion expression cognition is actually a transformational participation in the inherent relationship between the subconscious spiritual world and the real objective world of the surrealist photographic art creators.It can provide a new way for contemporary photography creation.This paper is divided into five chapters: the first chapter mainly introduces the research background,research significance,surrealist photography research status at home and abroad,and innovation points and difficulties.The second chapter expounds the emotional image in surrealistic photography,mainly from three aspects: magical emotional image,humorous emotional image and automatic emotional image.In the third chapter,through the study of surreal photography,this paper analyzes the construction method of metaphorical emotion in surreal photography,that is,the application of visual symbols,the control of color and tone,and the combination of irrational emotion.The fourth chapter starts with the type of metaphor and emotional expression of surreal photography,combines the techniques of surreal photography and picture elements,and expounds the three types of the subconscious metaphor,the metaphor of time and space and the metaphor of life noumenon.In the fifth chapter,through the above research,the author applies the metaphorical emotional expression of surrealistic photography to the creation practice,and expounds the creation source,style,realization method and concept of the work.Finally,the conclusions are drawn through theoretical research and practical research.
