Since ancient times,Chinese traditional aesthetics contains imaginations full of imagination and poetic imagery. The expression of images has played a great role in the spirit and artistic creation of the world. The use of image expression is the choice of photography in the path of China's development, because it is closely related to the character of the Chinese nation's introverted, implicit and speculative character. This article first traces back to the source of "image",combs and outlines its origin and development, and discusses the connotation and significance of image and image expression from the aesthetic category and philosophical category, and demonstrates its important value in the creation of photography.Based on the characteristics of the visual media and the choice of the shooting theme, the form of imagery in photography is expounded from two aspects: concreteness and abstraction. One is the reproduction of the object itself, and the excavation of another concrete thing, that is,"objects and objects".The second is to extract the abstract meaning from the concrete objects through the intervention of the photographing behavior or the intervention of different photographic techniques to express the theme outside the concrete, that is,"to express feelings with things".And then, through the classic cases of photography, the author analyses the way that the creator of the photograph is constructed and the use of the color vision, the use of the plane elements and the use of the post-modern vocabulary,to see the unique style and visual expressiveness of the image expression in the creation of photography. It is hoped that this research can support and help readers who love "image" works in artistic conception and artistic creation.
