| In the 20th century,with the continuous emergence of modern art schools in Europe,surrealist artists stood proudly on the highland of western modern art history with their specific appearance and extraordinary temperament.Influenced by Freud's psychoanalysis theory,they attached great importance to subconscious,dream and intuition.They tried to escape from reality through dreams and described life and death in a grotesque way.They were able to not only show the instant feeling of the moment at will,but also break through conventions and concepts with leapfrog thinking.They disassembled,reconstructed and juxtaposed traditional objects and images to form a surreal space that is bizarre,contradictory,mysterious and absurd.This paper studies the spatial form of surrealist painting from the perspective of "metaphor" and "absurdity”,analyzes the "absurd" world depicted in the space of surrealist painting from depth,and inspects the hidden connotation behind the "absurd" world.Firstly,through the investigation of the evaluation of spatial historical expansion of western painting,this paper explains the reasons and significance of the metaphorical absurd space of surrealist painting in the process of the critical promotion of western painting.Secondly,taking the works of representative surrealist artists as examples,this paper analyzes the expression of metaphorical absurd space in surrealist paintings and summarizes the characteristics of such space,so as to explore its inheritance and development in the contemporary art context.Finally,this paper discusses how to apply research experience to personal creations,by means of feeling the diversity and development of painting language forms with an open attitude,breaking through concepts with the spirit of fearless professional research,and gradually forming one's own artistic expression language in the work as well as study of surrealist painting. |
