A Brief Analysis Of Realistic Expression In Contemporary Meticulous Figure Painting

Since its birth,painting has played the role of recording and transmitting information.At the very beginning,it was based on the imitation and depiction of nature,which also has the attribute of realism.Since ancient times in China,whether in painting or painting theory,there have been relevant expressions and discussions on realism.Gu Kaizhi’s theory of "writing God in form" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty laid the tone of our realism.In modern times,under the influence of "the spread of Western learning to the east",Xu Beihong,Jiang Zhaohe and others combined the western realistic techniques with the traditional Chinese painting,and developed a new teaching theory and practice method of Chinese painting.Contemporary with the development of social times,driven by new technology and materials as well as social development,meticulous brushwork realism ushered in a new development.This paper hopes to analyze the breakthrough and development of realistic expression in contemporary meticulous figure painting through the comparison of realistic expression in ancient and modern meticulous figure painting,and explore the reasons that affect the development of realistic picture.Under the influence of Western painting,how to balance the relationship between realistic modeling and traditional painting spirit is a problem that every fine brushwork figure painter has to face.Through specific cases to enlighten themselves,in the context of the diversified development of contemporary art,as the meticulous painting figure major students how to seek their own creation path.
