A large number of studies show that attachment is closely related to the mental health level of middle junio school students, and high-quality attachment can positively predict the mental health level of adolescents.Individuals with Security attachment have more positive emotions and are less vulnerable to negative emotions such as depression and anxiety. Both trait security attachment and state security attachment have a very positive impact on psychosocial function in threat situations. However, the relationship between secure attachment and individual executive function, such as inhibitory control,is relatively unknown. As the core of individual executive function, inhibitory control has great influence on individual mental health.According to the "extension construction loop" of secure attachment, individuals report more positive emotions and less negative thoughts after the priming of secure attachment, and emotions have a significant impact on individual inhibition control.Based on the previous research results, this study investigated the effect of safe attachment priming on inhibitory control of junior middle school students through two experiments.Study 1,60 junior middle school students were selected to investigate the effect of security attachment priming on inhibition control of junior middle school students.A 2(Group: safe attachment priming/ neutral priming)X2(stimulus type: standard stimulus /bias stimulus)mixed experimental design was conducted. The results of analysis of variance showed that:(1)In response time and error rate, the main effect of trial type was significant, the subjects’ response to biased stimuli was slower than standard stimuli, and the response error rate to biased stimuli was higher. This shows that the Oddball task in this experiment successfully induced the inhibition control.(2)There was no significant interaction between group and stimulus type in response time and error rate, which showed that the attachment Security Priming did not affect individual inhibition control.Study 2,60 junior middle school students were selected as subjects. The double choice Oddball task was used to investigate the inhibitory control of junior middle school students under negative emotion after safe attachment priming.A 2(Group: safe attachment initiation / neutral initiation)X2(emotion type: negative emotion / neutral emotion)X2(stimulation type: standard stimulus / deviation stimulus)mixed experimental design was adopted. The results of analysis of variance showed that:(1)In the double choice Oddball task, the main effects of the stimulus type of error rate and response time were significant.Under the biased stimulus type, the subjects’ error rate was higher and the response time was longer. This showed that the Oddball task in this experiment successfully induced the inhibition control of the subjects.(2)In terms of reaction time, the interaction of subjects’ emotion, test type and group was significant. The interaction between emotion type and trial type was significant in the neutral priming group, but not in the attachment priming group. For the neutral priming group, the difference of response time induced by biased stimulus and standard stimulus under negative emotion was smaller than that of neutral emotion. However, for the subjects in the attachment Security priming, the difference in response time induced by biased stimuli and standard stimuli under neutral and negative emotions was similar. This showsed that compared with neutral priming, attachment security priming reduced the inhibitory control of individual negative emotion. The study found that attachment security priming could effectively reduce junior middle school students’ response to negative emotions, and then weakened inhibition control. This conclusion could further explain the mechanism of attachment security priming on mental health, and provided new ideas for the formulation of psychological intervention programs for middle school students.
