| Discourse markers are important discourse elements in oral communication.They were noticed by English linguists in the 1950s,and a lot of theoretical and case studies have been carried out.Focusing on three main theories,namely Relevance Theory,Pragmatic Adaptation Theory and Conversational Strategy,this paper takes the discourse marker"A"used in Malaysian Chinese radio Ai FM as the research object,and summarizes the usage of the discourse marker"A"in Malaysian Chinese.This paper forms a corpus by transcribing Malaysian Chinese radio programs.The first chapter starts with the analysis of static sentence types.First,the distribution statistics of the discourse token"A"in all corpora are carried out.It is found that the Malaysian Chinese discourse token"A"is mainly concentrated in exclamatory sentences and imperative sentences,while more declarative sentences are used in daily life.and interrogative sentences.Then,the modal meaning of the discourse marker"A"in the four sentence categories and single-word sentences is described.It can be seen that"A"has the function of strengthening attitudes in most cases,but due to the different social discourse environments,"A"is also often used to weaken the attitude function in interrogative sentences and imperative sentences,which is obviously different from Putonghua.The second chapter further starts from the position of"A"in the sentence to carry out dynamic discourse analysis.By analyzing the influence of the discourse function of"A"in different usage positions on the communication process,it shows the effect of the discourse marker"A"in detail.Use mode.The third chapter conducts a phonetic analysis of the discourse marker"A"in Chinese and Putonghua by using PRAAT software,compares the difference between the discourse marker"A"in spoken Chinese and Putonghua from the perspective of prosody,and excavates the discourse marker"A"special tone value/a21/as a weakening attitude function,further highlights the uniqueness of Chinese.Finally,the pragmatic functions of the discourse marker"A"are summarized—turn organization,emphasizing information,adjusting tone and expressing attitude. |
