The Image Practice Of Chinese Young Art Film Directors(2010-2020)

In the context of the development of film industry,art film has always presented another possibility of image practice in the pursuit of art.Between 2010 and 2020,as a new force of art film creation,young directors have come into people’s sight.The discussion of young art film directors in 2010 s as a whole is mainly based on the uniqueness of their films.This paper tries to start from the three latitudes of image space,narrative style and image aesthetics.First of all,the image space created by young directors has three manifestations: regional space,social space and individual space.The relationship between the three is "source and flow".When young directors transform their unique regional experience into image space,specific social attributes and individual space of characters are established accordingly.In these image Spaces,regional characteristics are integrated with social culture,daily life and spiritual world are the same.Secondly,the style pursuit and narrative choice of young art film directors are diverse and difficult to be integrated.However,in terms of the tone of the film,we can see the establishment of two worlds:fresh and bright growth and dark crime suspense.When it comes to the specific narrative mode,young directors’ understanding of social reality can be realized in the two strategies of "magic" and "absurdity".At the level of narrative subject,the inner point of view and narrative voice of the characters are constantly highlighted in the "unreal land",which is used to complete the expression of existence.Finally,the image practice of young directors presents a kind of aesthetic consistency,intentionally or unintentionally,and a kind of "flowing or solidifying" perceptual experience can be perceived in their images.Although these young directors have different artistic styles since the 2010 s,they can see similar cultural implications and aesthetic experience in their video creation,which are all related to their growth era,creation environment and way of expression.
