| The business registration began in the late Ming Dynasty and flourished in the Qing Dynasty. Its original intention was to provide convenience for the remote education of the salt merchants who lived in different places for a long time.Since its establishment,it has ensured the fairness of the imperial examination and guaranteed the interests of the central government and the salt merchants. With the improvement of the business registration system in the Qing Dynasty, the education and imperial examinations for the children of business registration in each salt area showed a development trend different from that of the previous generation.First of all,the education system for the children of business registration in the Qing Dynasty has been greatly improved, which can be roughly divided into three categories: school education, social education and business education;its education situation presents three characteristics: first, the educational form has a wide range of schools, schools The characteristics are complete in variety, uneven distribution, and unstable development;second, education funds are mainly donated by government and businessmen;third, the education content is mainly based on the examination of the imperial examination, and the degree of imperial examination is extremely high.Secondly, the success of the imperial examinations of the business students in the Qing Dynasty presented an unprecedentedly prosperous scene, and there were merchants and famous groups in all the salt areas where business students were offered. In the Qing Dynasty, there were about 179 imperial examination scholars,438 literary figures,600 to 800 gongsheng students and 16,160 scholars in the business registration. In general, the development trend of the achievements of the business students in the Qing Dynasty in the imperial examinations was highly consistent with the changes in the number of business students and the middle quota in the salt area, and was always under the control of the central policy.Thirdly, the merchant groups in the Qing Dynasty participated deeply in the social development at that time, and their most outstanding contributions were reflected in three aspects: First,a large number of merchant groups with fame and fortune entered the political arena, and their "rich and weight" was the most obvious difference between them and the previous merchant groups. The second is to promote the prosperity and development of the book industry and the change of cultural atmosphere in the salt-seller settlements;the third is the two-way interaction of the scholars and merchants, which promotes the further deepening of the Confucian ideology. |
