The "ba" sentence is one of the most important types of special sentences in modern Chinese and is used frequently in daily life. Its form, meaning and usage(especially the conditions of use)are quite difficult, and it is also a key point and difficulty for Indonesian Chinese learners.Since there is no equivalent for the "ba" sentence in Indonesian, and it is mainly formed by adding prefixes to verbs to form Indonesian dispositional sentences,Indonesian students have greater difficulties in learning the "ba" sentence. The "ba" sentence is a large system, the basic meaning of which is dispositional, the most common being dispositional displacement. The International Chinese Language Education Standards(2021)classify "ba" sentences into two categories and six types, with dispositional displacement being the first. In this paper,a trilingual comparison between Chinese,Indonesian and English is conducted on the six types of "ba" sentences, and it is found that Indonesian and English have a greater consistency in sentence structure, while there are greater differences with Chinese.Based on the structural differences and the six sentence patterns, this paper designed a questionnaire survey with 136 sixth-grade students from Happy School in Palembang,Indonesia. The results showed that the first shift type "ba" sentence listed in the Grading Standard was still quite difficult for Indonesian students(nearly 35% of the students even thought that "S + put + O + to + place" was the most difficult),and students had difficulty understanding why the ’put’ clause was used to express the compound concept of ’disposition + displacement’,with errors such as omission of There are several specific types of errors, such as the omission of the predicate verb, the omission of the preposition "put",the improper position of the active verb, the improper position of the object, and the inability to distinguish "put" from "let/take".Based on the results of the questionnaire survey, this paper selects the typical displacement type "ba" sentence "S+ba+O+V+to/in+place"(the first two of the six sentence forms)for teaching design, hoping to provide a reference for the Chinese language teachers at Happy School in Palembang,Indonesia. It is hoped that this can be used as a reference for teachers at Happy School in Palembang,Indonesia. In the teaching design, the paper encourages teachers to adopt a multimodal approach to establish a teaching ecology in which video, language, movement and environment are integrated with each other;to promote a good interaction between Chinese and non-Chinese students through peer support, and to solve the problems encountered by non-Chinese students in their learning in a timely manner;to encourage students’ multilingualism and establish connections between languages through trilingual comparison,so that students can improve their attention in The differences increase attention and the similarities increase interest in language learning.Happy School in Palembang,Indonesia,is one of the more representative trilingual(Indonesian,English and Chinese)schools in Palembang,Indonesia, with a mix of ethnic Chinese and non-Chinese students. In our fieldwork, apart from the word "put",we also found that there are some other problems in the teaching of Chinese in the school, such as fewer Chinese teachers than English teachers, lack of extra-curricular activities in Chinese, teaching standards to be improved, and single teaching methods for teachers. We hope that schools will pay more attention to this issue and make appropriate adjustments,so that the teaching of Chinese in trilingual schools can be developed to a higher quality.
