| The Internet has brought unprecedented changes to human society since its birth in 1969.It has pushed mankind into an information age filled with vigor and vitality.At present,China’s Internet technology lags behind the western.Thus,it is urgent for us to learn from them so as to protect our Internet users.In view of this,the importance of scientific and technological interpretation in the Internet field is obvious.This report is based on the simulated consecutive interpretation of a series of live broadcast discussions on simplifying information security at the American Information Security Conference,with Interpretive Theory as the guiding principle.This report consists of five chapters.Chapter Ⅰ introduces the background and content,emphasizing the difficult points and the goal of this simulated consecutive interpreting.Chapter Ⅱ is the literature review section,mainly introducing the Interpretive Theory and the study of technical translation.Chapter Ⅲ presents the process of this simulated consecutive interpreting,including pre-translation,translating and post-translation.Chapter Ⅳ analyses the cases selected from the translation from three perspectives: words,sentences and text,based on Interpretive Theory,combined literal translation with translation method,such as free translation and word-by-word translation,and translation skills such as amplification and omission.In the last chapter,the author concludes the experience and gains and reflection acquired during the whole project.The material selected is highly professional.It is found through the analysis of typical examples that Interpretive Theory is instructive for technical interpretation.The author wishes it may provide reference for the interpreting practice for herself and other translators in the future. |
