Adolescence is a challenging and stressful time.On the one hand, they need to cope with the challenges brought by physical and mental changes and self-identity during adolescence, which can easily lead to insecurity and self-doubt.On the other hand, they also need to deal with pressures from school, family, and social situations. The challenges and stresses have led to the frequent occurrence of psychological problems among adolescents, and the rate of depression detection has been increasing year by year. The study points out that family relationships have a very significant impact on adolescents’ mental health and are key to controlling the occurrence of depression in adolescents. And although adolescents’ depressive mood is a common negative emotional state, poorly regulated short-term depressive mood is likely to lead to the development of depression,so its harmful effects cannot be ignored. Therefore, the research chose the family factor parental psychological control and discussed its association with adolescent depressive mood, which helps to further understand the formation mechanism of adolescent depression from a family education perspective, and introduced psychological resilience as a mediating variable to explore its mediating mechanism between parental psychological control and adolescent depressive mood.On this basis,a group counseling intervention program was further developed to intervene on adolescents’ psychological resilience, and its effect on improving depressive mood was tested by increasing the level of adolescents’ psychological resilience. The study mainly adopted the questionnaire method to randomly select a total of1250 students in grade one, grade two, grade three of junior high school and grade one and grade two of senior high school as subjects in a middle school in Nanchong City, and used the Parental Psychological Control Scale, the Adolescent Psychological Resilience Scale, and the Flow-Through Depression Scale as research instruments to investigate the relationship between parental psychological control, psychological resilience, and adolescent depressive mood. The results were obtained by descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and PROCESS mediating effect test and other data analysis as follows:(1)Parental psychological control and its triggering of guilt and withdrawal of love dimensions were at a moderate to low level, and adherence to authority dimensions were at a moderate to high level;adolescent psychological resilience was at a moderate to high level;and adolescents’ depressive mood was at a low level.(2)On parental psychological control, there were significantly more male than female students;the students in the first grade of middle school were significantly higher than those in the first grade of high school;and mothers’ education level was significantly higher in the junior high school and below group than in the college and above group. The non-class cadre and single parent student groups were significantly higher than the class cadre and non-single parent groups on the adherence authority dimension of parental psychological control.(3)On the psychological resilience of adolescents, there were significantly more male students than female students, significantly more urban students than rural students, significantly more class cadre students than non-class cadre groups, and significantly more only children than non-only children,non-single parent groups were significantly higher than single parent groups, and students with highly educated parents were significantly higher than students with less educated parents.Grade differences in the emotional control and family support dimensions of psychological resilience were significant, with the second year of junior high school being significantly higher than the first year of junior high school on the emotional control dimension and the first and second years of senior high school being significantly higher than the first year of junior high school on the family support dimension.(4)On adolescent depressive mood, girls were significantly higher than boys, the group of non-class cadre students was significantly higher than the group of class cadre, the group of non-only students was significantly higher than the group of only students, the group of single parents was significantly higher than the group of non-single parents, the first year middle school students were significantly higher than the first year high school students, and the group of students with parents’ education level of junior high school and below was significantly higher than the group of high school, college and above.(5)There was a significant positive relationship between parental psychological control and adolescent depressive mood,a significant negative relationship between parental psychological control and psychological resilience, and a significant negative relationship between psychological resilience and adolescent depressive mood.(6)Parental psychological control positively predicts adolescent depressive mood and psychological resilience negatively predicts adolescent depressive mood.(7)Psychological resilience partially mediates the role of parental psychological control and adolescent depressive mood.(8)Intervening psychological resilience with group counseling activities has positive implications for improving adolescent depressive mood.On this basis,we propose educational suggestions such as parents should insist on unconditional love and weaken authority to make adolescents grow up happily;schools should strengthen psychological resilience training for adolescents to digest depressive moods;and pay attention to depressive moods of junior high school students,single-parent families and other students to ensure the overall health and upward mobility of adolescents.
