Problematic mobile phone use refers to uncontrolled, excessive mobile phone use that has a negative impact on the individual’s daily life.A large number of studies have shown that the use of problematic mobile phone has a series of negative effects on the psychosocial adaptation of individuals, and the incidence rate in Chinese adolescents has reached 29.8%.Among them, parenting has an important influence on the problematic mobile phone use of early adolescents. As a typical negative parenting behavior, parental psychological control may be an important factor leading to problematic mobile phone use among young people.Under the high psychological control of their parents, early adolescents are more likely to resist excessive intrusion by their parents through the use of problematic mobile phones and produce maladaptive behaviors. In order to further explore the mechanism of parental psychological control on early adolescents’ problematic mobile phone use, this study introduces early adolescents’ loneliness and perceived social support levels based on attachment theory, compensatory network use theory,self-regulation deficit model, and social support buffer model, and proposes a structured intervention to explore the effect of intervention on problematic mobile phone use among early adolescents. This study includes two studies.Study 1 used the Parental Control Scale,Child Loneliness Scale,Mobile Phone Problem Use Scale, and Perceived Social Support Scale to survey 2,517 adolescents to explore the mechanism of parental psychological control on problematic mobile phone use among early adolescents.Based on the study 1 revealing the role of early adolescents’ loneliness and perceived social support in the process of parental psychological control affecting the use of problematic mobile phones in early adolescents. From the perspectives of cognition, emotion and behavior, study 2 proposes an intervention training program for problematic mobile phone use among early adolescents based on cognitive behavioral therapy. The aim is to reduce early adolescents’ loneliness and problematic mobile phone use,and at the same time increase individual early adolescents’ perceived society Support, enhance the self-regulation efficacy of emotions, enrich cognitive emotion regulation strategies.Study 2randomly selected 28 subjects in study 1 to participate in the intervention study, using independent sample t test. The dependent variables of the study were the subjects’ problematic mobile phone usage, loneliness and the level of perceived social support. To conclude, the results showed that:(1)Early adolescent loneliness plays a mediating role between parental psychological control and problematic mobile phone use;(2)Early adolescents’ perception of social support plays a moderating role in the mediation model.Specifically, perception of social support can regulate the effects of parental psychological control on loneliness, which could affect the use of problematic mobile phones.(3)After a six-week online intervention, the results of the study showed that compared with the control group, the intervention group’s problematic mobile phone use frequency and loneliness level were significantly reduced, and the level of social support was significantly improved.
