| Bullet comments,flying across the screen like bullets,refer to real-time opinions expressed by viewers.In recent years,bullet comments in Bilibili have become a rather popular network language among young people for their mature mechanism and highly innovative ability.Since the TV series A Dream of Red Mansions(the version of 1987)was put online in Bilibili,bullet comments on it have constantly interacted with Chinese traditional culture,bringing unprecedented viewing experience to the audience.In order to further analyze the bullet comments in Bilibili from the perspective of linguistics and explore their roles in the dissemination of traditional culture,this thesis discusses the generation,pragmatic functions and language ecology of bullet comments on the TV Series A Dream of Red Mansions(the version of 1987)in Bilibili based on adaptation theory.It is found that bullet comments on this TV series are characterized by the high relevance of information,the richness of semantic contents and the diversity of expressions,and their generation is the result of the adaptation to relevant contextual factors and language structures.The pragmatic functions of the bullet comments are mainly reflected in three aspects: helping to understand details,creating playful contrasts and spicing up the plots.Their external language ecology refers to the popularization of mobile Internet and the emergence of the new generation of netizens,while the internal language ecology concerns the high-quality original contents and mature bullet comment system of Bilibili.The study of bullet comments on the TV series A Dream of Red Mansions is an in-depth study of network language and opens up a new perspective for the study of A Dream of Red Mansions.It is also helpful for people to understand and appreciate bullet comments,and use them effectively,so as to develop their full potential for spreading our splendid traditional culture. |
