| "Erdeni-yin Tob(?)i" is a representative historical work written by Sagang Chechen,a Mongolian scholar in the Qing Dynasty.Most scholars believe that it was written in 1662."Erdeni-yin Tob(?)i",by contrast,is the most complete of the many Mongol Chronicles written in the 17 th century.The content of this document has a large time span,which can be traced back to the time when the author lived.It mainly records the complete pedigree of Mongolian khans from the end of the Yuan Dynasty to the beginning of the Qing Dynasty,the dissemination process of the Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism in Mongolian areas,as well as detailed records of Dayan Khan and the Mongolian history of Ming Dynasty and the history of ten thousand households in Ordos.Although the "Erdeni-yin Tob(?)i" is a historical book,there is a certain gap between it and the orthodox historical books in terms of its writing characteristics.Because it follows the creation tradition of the Secret History of Mongolia and involves a large number of historical legends and the author’s subjective assumptions,scholars in the field of Mongolian literature define its style as historical prose.This article uses textual statistics,textual literature research,and comparative research methods to compile and list 22 historical legends from "Erdeni-yin Tob(?)i",and explains them.Based on the historical legends recorded in " Erdeni-yin Tob(?)i ",this paper analyzes and explores historical legends related to Mongolian history.The paper consists of five parts: Introduction,Chapter 1,Chapter 2,Chapter 3,and Conclusion.The first part is the introduction section,which mainly introduces the reasons for choosing this topic and its significance,previous research reviews,research methods,and research objectives.The second part mainly combs the Mongols legends from the perspective of folk literature and philology.It clarifies the development of Mongols legends and their definitions and characteristics,and screens the historical legends appearing in the Mongolian Origin layer by layer,listing 22 historical legends.In the third part,22 historical legends are divided into Genghis Khan,and the legends of Genghis Khan’s ancestors,Genghis Khan’s legends,Genghis Khan’s descendants and other people’s legends are discussed respectively.The fourth part is mainly a comparative study of the 22 historical legends listed from the Origin of Mongolia and the historical legends appearing in the Secret "History of Mongolia" and the "Altan Tob(?)i".Thus further summarizing and summarizing the creative and ideological characteristics of the historical legends recorded in "Erdeni-yin Tob(?)i ". |
