Contemporary ceramic art is an art that uses ceramic materials as the creative medium to convey ideas through specific expressions of ceramics,presenting the artist ’s real feelings in the face of the current survival experience and living environment.At present,China ’s urbanization process is accelerating,and more and more urban ruins are generated in the context of urban renewal.The increase in the number of ruins,the material carrier of individual and collective emotional memory,also means the collapse of people ’s spirit.It is necessary to reshape people ’s spiritual world.This paper systematically combs Bergson ’s theory of duration,and takes it as the spiritual guidance of artistic creation and artistic appreciation.From the three perspectives of intuitive method,real time and pure memory involved in the duration,we can understand the spiritual core of the ruins,then explore the meaning of the ruins in the context of contemporary ceramic art,and affirm its material and spiritual value.In the process of creating the theme of contemporary ceramic art ruins,the consciousness of continuity is incorporated,and the emotional activities of artists in the creation of the theme of contemporary ceramic art ruins are analyzed.Before creation,perceive the material existence of ruins.At the time of creation,this paper discusses the language characteristics and multiple expressions of ceramic materials in the theme creation of contemporary art ruins,and gives full play to the material advantages of ceramics.By analyzing the material,production process and aesthetic experience of ceramics,the implication of continuity is perceived.Finally,it discusses the multiple forms of the theme of ruins in contemporary ceramic art creation.Its concrete reproducibility,metaphorical imagery,and process of structural reorganization can all present a continuous spiritual leading role.In the development of the theme of contemporary ceramic art ruins in China,Bergson ’s aesthetic thought has the dual significance of grasping the duration of the main life and saving the spiritual ruins.The viewer ’s emotional experience obtained through the appreciation of the ruins theme works not only has memories of the past,but also has thoughts and reflections on the present and the future.With the effective connection between the inner spiritual world and the external material world,the true perception and emotional destination of the ruins are obtained.
