| In the 1980s,a group of documentary photographers began to consistently record the realities of the people in Shaanxi,and their work gradually attracted widespread attention and recognition,becoming one of the major forces in the field of documentary photography in China and giving the outside world the impression of a photographic community.In the process of their exploration,they continued to learn and communicate with each other,not only creating a wealth of photographic works,but also leaving behind a large number of theoretical studies and writings,contributing to the exploration and development of Chinese photography.This article takes the Shaanxi group as the object of study,and selects the photographic works,theoretical writings and interviews of the members of the Shaanxi group,mainly using the textual analysis method and the interview method.The study focuses on the photographic spirit of the Shaanxi group and its visual characteristics.The results of this study help to deepen the understanding of the works of the Shaanxi Group,expand the knowledge of documentary photography,and provide new directions for future research and practice.The framework of this paper consists of three parts: the introduction,the main body and the conclusion.The first chapter of the main body presents an overview of Shaanxi group,and discusses the main causes of the formation of Shaanxi group from both common and specific perspectives.The first section provides an overview of Shaanxi group and discusses the main reasons for the formation of Shaanxi group from both common and specific dimensions.The second chapter interprets the realistic perspective of the Shaanxi group in terms of their photographic spirit,emphasising their courage to criticise and reflect on history,as well as their humanistic and human-centred approach.The third chapter explores the visual characteristics of the Shaanxi group’s documentary photography from the perspectives of scene,composition and colour,including the strong Guan Zhong atmosphere,the calm language of images and the realistic writing of life.The fourth chapter is a reflection on the process of my graduation work in the spirit of documentary photography.The conclusion is based on the full text and presents a holistic view of the documentary photography spirit of the Shaanxi group. |
