| The research literature of Laozi is vast.Compared with other important ideological categories of Laozi,the author thinks that the research of Laozi’s "simplicity" thought needs further excavation and research.Looking through the previous literature,it is found that most scholars are expounding the thought of "simplicity" in the aesthetic sense,and the analysis of its philosophical connotation needs further investigation.Therefore,this paper attempts to systematically sort out and study the "simplicity" thought in Laozi from the aspects of annotation and connotation.This paper mainly analyzes the thought of "simplicity" in Laozi from three dimensions,namely "simplicity" at the level of ontology,"simplicity" in the true state of human nature and "simplicity" in the social state.First of all,when discussing the "simplicity" at the ontological level,we should first sort out and summarize the "Tao" in Laozi by scholars of all ages,and understand how scholars of all ages view the "Tao" mentioned by Laozi.Then discuss and analyze the meaning of "nature" in Laozi,so as to clarify the relationship between "Tao" and "nature";By discussing the understanding of "Piao" among scholars who annotated "Lao" in past dynasties,the relationship between "Piao" and "Tao" in Laozi’s thought is clarified.In Laozi,"simplicity" is the embodiment of "Tao",so as to analyze Laozi’s thought of "Tao is natural" and expound the "simplicity" of ontology on this basis.Secondly,when exploring the "simplicity" of the true state of human nature,we should first clarify the meaning of "baby" in Laozi’s philosophy,further explore the relationship between "simplicity" and "baby",and then clarify the path from "simplicity" at the ontology level to "simplicity" in the true state of human nature.This paper expounds why Laozi advocates the self-cultivation way of "returning to the baby",and further analyzes the meaning of "being simple,being selfish and wanting less" in order to understand Laozi’s self-cultivation way.Finally,from the "simplicity" of people’s true state,we will further explore the "simplicity" of social nature,understand Lao Tzu’s ideal society of "small country and few people" from the perspectives of "people" and "people",deeply understand Lao Tzu’s social ideal vision of "I have no desire but the people are simple",analyze the relationship between "simplicity" and "small country and few people",and then return to the "small country and few people" advocated by Taoism.Through the exploration of Laozi’s thought of "simplicity",we can deeply understand Laozi’s thought of "Taoism is natural" and Taoism’s concept of "governing by doing nothing".From the perspective of Laozi’s "simplicity" thought,we can find that people in the world are in a state of solidarity,and things are also interconnected,and everything flows between cause and effect. |
