Research On Storytelling Strategy Of Folk Documentary

The rapid development of urbanization,the serious erosion of modern civilization and the rapid penetration of emerging culture have caused a certain impact on our traditional folk culture,making some folk handicrafts face the fate of being gradually forgotten by the young generation.In the face of this phenomenon,folk documentary can play a good role of protection and inheritance through the way of image construction,capture and record the traditional folk culture that is about to disappear in people’s vision.At the same time,as a more popular narrative way,theatrical narration brings new opportunities for the development and innovation of folk documentary.The documentary focuses the camera on the real life of the people.Through the image construction of folk activities and folk matters,it tries to explore the value and characteristics of folk culture in different regions,and discusses the folk customs changes brought by the development of The Times.The theatrical strategy involved in excellent film creation is a valuable text worth learning and discussion.This paper takes many excellent folk folk documentaries as a case,combines the personal graduation work "Local Paper-Cut in the Old Alley",and closely combines the research of theatrical strategies with the creation practice of folk documentaries.Using fieldwork,case analysis,comparative research method and other research methods,this paper analyzes the theatrical strategies of folk documentaries from the aspects of material screening,audio-visual expression and lens communication.It provides reference for the creation and theoretical research of folk documentaries.The thesis is mainly divided into the following five parts.The first part illustrates the research background,significance,status,methods and innovation of folkloric documentary theatrical narration.The second part explains the general situation of folk documentary and theatrical narration,defines the concepts of folk custom,folk documentary,storytelling and storytelling narration,sorts out the development status of folk documentary and the development process of theatrical narration,and clarifies the relationship between the narrative concept of folk documentary and theatrical narration.The third part expounds the characteristics and requirements of folkloric documentary storytelling,and analyzes the characteristics of folkloric documentary storytelling from three aspects: the content expression of "teaching through lively activities",the theme presentation of "seeing the great from the small",and the artistic communication of "seeking truth from beauty".In addition,from the audience’s aesthetic needs and the current media environment,this paper discusses the requirements of folk documentary storytelling.The fourth part mainly tells the story narrative path of folk documentary,deconstructing the story narrative strategy of folk documentary from three aspects:screening of materials in the early stage,construction of audio-visual poetry in the middle stage,and combination of shots in the late stage.The fifth part analyzes the story narrative of the personal documentary "Local Paper-Cut in the Old Alley",mainly from the aspects of material screening,narrative characteristics,narrative language,summary and reflection.The conclusion looks forward to the theatrical narrative prospect of folk documentary.
