| Qian Xuan,a painter from the late Song Dynasty to the early Yuan Dynasty,was a representative figure in the transformation of courtyard style painting to literati painting.He was also the earliest painter in the Yuan Dynasty to innovate flower and bird painting.On the basis of inheriting the Song Dynasty’s flower and bird painting,he combined his plain and innocent subjective interest with objective objects,forming a unique and elegant style in his flower and bird painting,which is a creative blend of courtyard style painting and literati painting.The practice of Qian Xuan opened up a new path in the painting of literati in the Yuan Dynasty,bringing new vitality to the increasingly sophisticated color setting flower and bird painting,and opening up a new path for the development of flower and bird painting in future generations.This article takes Qian Xuan’s classic flower and bird paintings as the starting point,tracing the typical characteristics of his painting style and his practice and application in creation.Firstly,from the perspectives of Qian Xuan’s era environment,teacher-student relationship,and the influence of painting materials,this article elaborates on the causes of Qian Xuan’s flower and bird painting style.Secondly,from the perspectives of composition and layout,coloring characteristics,and ink language,this paper analyzes Qian Xuan’s early "Eight Flowers Painting" and later "Flower and Bird Painting",summarizes the typical characteristics of his painting style,explores the evolution law of Qian Xuan’s unique painting style,clarifies his position and value in art history,and clarifies the practical significance of Qian Xuan’s painting language.Finally,based on this,practical exploration will be carried out in conjunction with contemporary painting trends.During the creation process of "Jianjia Picking",continuous thinking and summarization will be carried out to create flower and bird painting works that meet modern aesthetic requirements. |
