The late Song Dynasty and the early Yuan Dynasty were the key period for the transformation of flower-and-bird painting.Influenced by various factors such as social politics,aesthetic ideas and religious thoughts,a large number of surviving painters loyal to the former Dynasty tried their best to get rid of the delicate and rich shortcomings of the Song Academy Painting and pursue the elegant and plain literati painting temperament due to the change of their personal mood and aesthetic values.The volume Flower and Bird Paintings,which is now in Tianjin Museum,is a representative selection of many flower and bird paintings for Qian.The style of Flower and Bird Paintings is clear and simple,naive and innocent,and it has already broken away from the shackles of the refined aesthetic appreciation of the Southern Song Dynasty's academy style paintings,thus revealing the transcendence and refined literati temperament.It can be said that it is the link between the Song and Yuan Dynasties' flower and bird paintings,and plays a role in inheriting the past and opening up the future during the transition period from the academy style paintings to the literati paintings.I'll take the volume of "Graph of Flowers and Birds" as the entry point,and through in-depth study and imitation of excellent traditional painting works,based on practice,then transform the knowledge and skills has mastered into my own ability,so as to improve my perception,creativity and aesthetic ability.And try to manage the natural vivid images,deepen the understanding of nature,create a clear and sparse artistic conception of the beauty of the works.
