| Extensive and profound social changes have taken place in rural China,and rural themed documentaries have grasped the pulse of the times and the development vein,presenting the face of contemporary rural society from different perspectives.In this process,some excellent video works have stood out,becoming typical cases with era characteristics and distinctive regional styles,as well as epitomizing traditional rural culture and real life.From its infancy,rural documentary films have focused on the reality of rural life and shaping rural character images.At the creative level,narrative and audio-visual aspects are important strategies for shaping rural character images.Therefore,the strategy of portraying the characters in rural documentary films is the main content that the article wants to explore.Based on excellent films such as "The Leading Wild Goose in Gezhiping" and "Sand and Sea","The Journey Out of the Mountain","China in the Village","Da Ge","The Field of Hope: By the Lalin River",and "Gua Shu Di Luo",this paper explores the strategies for portraying the characters in Chinese rural documentary films from both narrative and audio-visual perspectives,and explores how to use narrative and audio-visual methods to create true and vivid images,And it is easy to form appealing rural character images for the audience,so as to play the role of rural theme documentaries in revitalizing rural culture and improving the artistic taste of rural theme documentaries.The article consists of five parts: The first part is an introduction,including the research background and significance,research summary,and research methods.The second part is about the definition and development of the concept of Chinese rural theme documentaries,as well as the development and evolution of character characterization in Chinese rural theme documentaries.The third part analyzes and studies the narrative strategies for portraying characters in Chinese rural documentary films from three aspects: narrative perspective,narrative structure,and narrative techniques.The fourth part analyzes and studies the audio-visual strategies for the characterization of rural documentary films in China from the perspectives of lens language,screen language,and voice language.The fifth part is the creative interpretation of personal works,and combines personal works to analyze and reflect on the creative methods of the film as well as the shortcomings and shortcomings in the process of completing the production. |
