Zhang Jingsheng is one of Chinese important aesthetician and educationalists,as well as an advocate and practitioner of bodily aesthetic education.Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily aesthetic education is based on the existence of the body in real life,with "beauty" as the ultimate goal to build his "view of beauty in life" and "the social organization law of beauty".This paper is based on Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily beauty.This paper takes Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily aesthetic education as the research object,focuses on the interpretation and excavation of Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily aesthetic education,and discusses its main contents,theoretical characteristics and contemporary values.The paper is divided into five parts.The first chapter discusses the causes of Zhang Jingsheng’s thought on bodily ae sthetic education.It examines the background of Zhang Jingsheng’s time and the life situation he experienced in depth.The eightyear experience in France had an importa nt influence on Zhang Jingsheng’s thought,and the achievements of Western civilizati on,such as the modern philosophy of life,Romanticism,naturalism,aestheticism,an d sexual science,became the theoretical cornerstones of Zhang Jingsheng’s thought o n bodily aesthetic education.Zhang Jingsheng’s concern for the body was directly ins pired by his private education as a child and his special experience as a medical stude nt.Zhang’s rich life experiences and the collision of various ideas contributed to Zhan g Jingsheng ’s idea of bodily aesthetic education.The second chapter explores the bodily turn in aesthetics since the 19 th century,compares Schusterman’s conception of the discipline of bodily aesthetics,and finally analyzes Zhang Jingsheng’s historical position and Chinese contribution to the bodily turn in aesthetics.The third chapter is the core of this paper,which focuses on the main contents of Zhang Jingsheng’s bodily aesthetic thought.It explores the connotation and institutio nal construction of Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily aesthetic education from the pers pective of "the concept of beauty in life" and "the social organization of beauty".It als o grasps the penetration of Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily aesthetic education from his educational and industrial practices.The fourth chapter is the focus of this paper,which investigates the theoretical characteristics of Zhang Jingsheng’s aesthetic thought on bodily aesthetic education.After analysis,the theoretical characteristics of Zhang Jingsheng’s bodily aesthetic thought can be distilled into four points: first,the body as the foundation;second,the power of bodily action,which is concentrated in the practicality,applicability and advancement of Zhang Jingsheng’s bodily aesthetic thought;third,the homelandization of the body’s belonging;and fourth,the artisticization of the body ‘s observation.Chapter five explains the significance and limitations of Zhang Jingsheng’s bodil y aesthetic education.Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily aesthetic education refers dist inctly and directly to social practice,which is a good inspiration for the operability st udy of contemporary aesthetic education and modern people’s way of life.However,Zhang Jingsheng’s idea of bodily aesthetic education is too advanced and detached fr om the historical context of the time,which makes it impossible to promote and practi ce,and thus has an idealistic tinge. |
