The communication between Chinese and Thai people is increasingly close. In the process of interpersonal communication, the expressive function of modal particles plays an important role.In the imperative mood, the two moods of"prohibition, order, request"and"consultation, suggestion, request"have obvious differences in the expression of emotion, one tone is tough, and the other tone is tactful. At the same time, both Chinese and Thai belong to the Sino-Tibetan language family, and there are multiple modal particles. When translating imperative sentences between the two countries, one Chinese imperative particle can correspond to multiple Thai imperative particles, and one Thai imperative particle Words can also correspond to multiple Chinese imperative particles. At present, there are relatively few comparative studies on Chinese and Thai imperative particles, and most of them focus on the comparative study of semantics and pragmatic functions. In order to more effectively guide Thai learners to learn Chinese imperative particles, reduce errors, negative transfer of mother tongue and other phenomena. This article will take the Chinese imperative particles"ba""le""ah""la""ya"and their related Thai imperative particles as the research objects, using conversational analysis and comparative analysis, semantic mirroring method, etc.,and use software such as Praat speech analysis software,Spectra Layers 7 software,HTWCore audio and video conversion system and other software to analyze the semantics, pragmatic functions, interactive relationship between the tone and intonation of the Chinese and Thai imperative particles, sentence Focus and other aspects of comparative research. This article divide the chapters with each Chinese imperative particle as a unit, and then conduct research on each Chinese imperative particle and their related Thai imperative particles under each chapter. When conducting research,we first use the semantic mirroring method to analyze Thai imperative particles related to the translation of Chinese imperative particles from the corpus. On this basis,we will also analyze the semantics, semantics and Pragmatic function, interactive relationship between tone and intonation, sentence focus and other issues are studied.Through the comparative analysis in this paper,we have drawn the following conclusions:(一)Various Chinese imperative modal words"ba""le""ah""la""ya"can express a variety of modal meaning,in each chapter according to the use of a modal word in the corpus analysis of the modal meaning can be expressed. At the same time,it also analyzes the pragmatic function and the interaction between tone and intonation of the same modal under different semantics.(二)Through the analysis of bilingual parallel corpus,it is found that there are Thai modal verbs related to the translation of Chinese modal verbs"ba""le""ah""la"and"ya",and there are also similarities and differences in the semantic aspects of Chinese and Thai modal verbs related to translation。(三)There are differences in the translation of Chinese imperative particles and related Thai imperative particles in the actual use process, and there is"unequal phenomenon in translation",and"unequal"is reflected in the same mood and meaning The number of translations is not equal, and it is reflected in the two aspects of tone and meaning. This paper describes, analyzes and summarizes this"unequal"phenomenon in the first subsection of each chapter. For example:"Ba"and"(?)"have a relatively complicated"contra-translation phenomenon";when"(?)"expresses"command",it is mostly related to"ah".(四)This paper makes a comparative analysis of each Chinese modal and its related Thai modal in terms of semantics, pragmatic functions, and the interaction between modal tone and sentence intonation, and draws relevant conclusions.(五)Based on the conclusions drawn from the comparative analysis of imperative particles in Chinese and Thai, this paper puts forward relevant teaching suggestions for the teaching of imperative particles in Thai and Chinese.
