| At present,boarding system is a common school running mode.Primary and secondary students are separated from their parents for a long time,and spend more time in school,which may affect the parent-child relationship.In family relations,parent-child relationship is an important part.Good parent-child relationship helps to promote the well-being of children and parents,so how to establish a positive parent-child relationship is particularly important.It is necessary to explore the impact of school boarding experience on individual parent-child relationship.This study examines the impact of school boarding experience on parent-child relationship through questionnaires,and the role of family belonging and school belonging in this process.In study 1,a questionnaire survey was used to explore the content of boarding experience in 329 boarding school students.According to the existing theoretical basis and the content of the open questionnaire code,the school boarding experience questionnaire is initially prepared.It includes two initial sub-questionnaires: positive experience of school boarding and negative experience of school boarding.Study 2 uses the "School Boarding Experience Questionnaire" prepared by Study 1 as the research tool,selects two boarding schools in Yunnan as the survey object,and finally obtains 1516 valid questionnaires,and carries out exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis,internal consistency reliability,retest reliability,and criterion-related validity analysis on the questionnaire.The results showed that the school boarding positive experience sub-questionnaire included four dimensions:teacher-student relationship,peer relationship,self-training,learning atmosphere,a total of 23 questions;The school boarding negative experience sub-questionnaire includes 7 dimensions: residential experience,school bullying,negative emotions,family separation,living conditions,interpersonal relationships,and stress perception,a total of 34 questions;The reliability and validity index and model fitting index of the two sub-questionnaires meet the standards proposed by psychometrics.Study 3 conducted a questionnaire survey on 601 boarding school students to explore the impact of school boarding experience,family belonging and school belonging on parent-child relationship.The results showed that the experience of school boarding would affect the parent-child relationship of individuals,the positive experience of school boarding positively predicted the parent-child relationship of individuals,and the negative experience of school boarding negatively predicted the parent-child relationship of individuals;The sense of family belonging and school belonging play a completely intermediary role in the influence of school boarding experience on individual parent-child relationship;The chain mediating role of family belonging and school belonging is also established.To sum up,the main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The school boarding experience developed in this study includes two sub-questionnaires: the positive experience of school boarding and the negative experience of school boarding.The reliability and validity of the questionnaire are good,meeting the requirements of psychometrics,and can be used as an effective measurement tool when studying the problem of school boarding experience.(2)The boarding experience of middle school students can be divided into three types:negative experience,double experience and positive experience.The positive experience has a higher sense of family belonging and school belonging,and a better parent-child relationship;Negative experience is the opposite;Double experienced people are at a moderate level.(3)Considering the sense of family belonging and school belonging of middle school students,neither the positive nor negative boarding experience of the school directly affects the parent-child relationship.The positive experience of school boarding promotes parent-child relationships by enhancing family and school belonging.On the contrary,the negative experience of school boarding not only destroys the positive effects of family and school belonging on parent-child relationships,but also reduces family or school belonging and ultimately has a negative impact on parent-child relationships by negatively affecting school or family belonging,respectively. |
