School belonging refers to students being identified with their school and being devoted to their school in their reorganizations, emotion and mentality, and willing to taking on their responsibility and taking part in activities of school as a member. It include: Academic Engagement, Human Environment, Peer Relationship and School Involvement. On the basis of reviewing former researches, a hypothesis on School Belonging was conceived. And then the questionnaire was made. After testing of reliability and validity, 672 pupils were investigated. After analyzing the data, the characters of pupils were concluded. Furthermore, the relation between the Family Relationship of Pupils and the School Belonging of Pupils was explored by the Scale of Family Relationship of Pupils and the Questionnaire of School Belonging of Pupils. Such conclusions were found.The first, School Belonging comprises: Academic Engagement, Human Environment, Peer Relationship and School Involvement.The second, the reliabilities and of the Questionnaire of Pupils'School Belonging are very high. The validity of the Questionnaire of Pupils'School Belonging is reasonable. The total reliability of questionnaire,αis 0.881, The reliabilityof Academic Engagement is 0.576. Human Environment's is 0.787, the reliability of Peer Relationship is 0.765, and the reliability of School Involvement is 0.745. The Guttman Split-half coefficient of total is 0.869, from No.1 dimension to No.4 dimension, and the Guttman Split-half coefficients are0.488, 0.781, 0.756, 0.669.The third, the differences in sex are significant in Academic Engagement, Human Environment, School Involvement and the total of School Belonging. Boys'scores are lower than those of girls significantly. The differences of pupils in grade are significant in Academic Engagement and Peer Relationship. The scores of Grade 3 are higher than those of Grade 5 in Academic Engagement. The scores of Grade 3 in Peer Relationship are those of Grade 4 and Grade 5. The scores of Grade 5 in Peer Relationship are those of Grade 4. The differences between city and country in Peer Relationship, the scores of city school are higher than those of country school. The interact ion of grade and the address of school is significant in four dimensions and the total.The forth, there was a significant positive correlation between the total of Family Relationship of Pupils and the School Belonging of Pupils. And there was a significant positive correlation among the factors of Family Relationship of Pupils and the factors of the School Belonging of Pupils. Moreover, the two factors of Family Relationship can predict the School Belonging of Pupils and the factors of the School Belonging of Pupils.
