| As a famous art theorist in modern times,Chen Shizeng looked at the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western art with an open cultural vision,and tried to reactivate the endogenous vitality of traditional art in the new historical context.He not only opposes the blind "overall Westernization",but also opposes the fixedness.He sticks to the artistic position of "giving up my weaknesses and adopting others’ strengths",and forms a unique artistic view.In particular,he reinterprets the value of traditional Chinese painting with the theory of evolution,and contains rich artistic aesthetic thoughts.Based on Chen Shi-zeng’s painting theory and artistic works,this paper systematically expounds his art theory,especially the connotation of artistic aesthetics thought,and excavates the unique value of his artistic aesthetics thought.In the first chapter,the introduction explains the origin of the research,sorts out the research results of Chen Shizeng’s artistic thought and aesthetic thought,and then elaborates the research value,significance and innovation of this paper.The second chapter explores the ideological basis and historical background of the formation of Chen Shi-zeng’s artistic aesthetic thought,and then analyzes the reasons for the formation of Chen Shi-zeng’s artistic aesthetic thought.In terms of ideological basis,Chen’s profound family history and educational experience of studying natural history while studying abroad,especially accepting the theory of evolution,have formed a solid foundation for his artistic aesthetic thoughts.In terms of historical background,the cultural influence of the eastward spread of Western learning and the art revolution since the end of the 19 th century triggered the formation of his artistic aesthetic thought.The third chapter expounds the theoretical gist of Chen Shizeng’s artistic thought.This article first discusses the essence of art--symbol,he thinks art is a symbol to express the state of things.From the perspective of utility,he believed that art originated from utility,which was a painting with ornamental meaning gradually independent from the utility nature of text and picture at the beginning.Development-progress theory,he thinks that the development of Chinese and Western painting has gone through three stages of symbol,realistic,freehand painting,literati painting is freehand painting,so it is progressive;Function--noble personality theory,he thinks art can not only cultivate people’s power of observation and perception,but also can cultivate noble personality and other aspects made a systematic and in-depth explanation.The fourth chapter focuses on the elaboration of the connotation and characteristics of Chen Shi-zeng’s artistic aesthetic thoughts.Through the analysis of his rich artistic thoughts and artistic practices,we find that the connotation of his artistic aesthetic thoughts is mainly embodied in the three aspects of similarity,self-painting and only the spirit,showing a strong integration,nationality and enlightening.The fifth chapter,based on the rich connotation of Chen Shi-zeng’s artistic aesthetic thought,analyzes its realistic and theoretical significance at that time and now.His artistic aesthetic thought not only has an indelible contribution to the modern interpretation of literati painting value,the modern transformation of Chinese painting,the establishment of modern Chinese comics,etc.It also has important theoretical reference and practical guiding significance for the great rejuvenation of Chinese culture in the new era. |
