According to the data of the seventh population census, the number of children of China’s mobile population is about 130 million in 2020,including nearly 71.09 million mobile children, accounting for more than 40% of the total number of children in China.Facing the new culture, order and social environment, the migrant children group needs to adjust their original lifestyle and adapt to the life and study in the inflowing place.Children are at a critical stage of physical and mental development and socialization, and their adaptive capacity is relatively weak. The successful adaptation to urban life is related to the healthy growth of migrant children and the stability and harmony of the whole society,so it is crucial to develop mental health services for migrant children. The study focuses on the following issues: first,to explore what problems exist in the process of establishing mental health service mechanisms for migrant children? Second,to analyze the causes of the weak foundation of the mental health service mechanism at the micro-system level, the poor communication and benign interaction channels among subsystems at the meso-system level, the imperfect mental health service mechanism in schools at the exterior system level, and the insufficient friendliness of the macro environment? Third,to explore how social work can improve the mental health service mechanism for migrant children from micro, meso, appearance and macro-system levels? Fourth,to discuss the implications of social work intervention in the construction of mental health service mechanism for migrant children for the development of migrant children’s services?Guided by the ecosystem theory, the study constructs a research framework of social work intervention in the construction of mental health service mechanism for migrant children from four levels: micro, meso, appearance and macro system.Using the case study method,we used the semi-structured interview and participant observation methods to collect data and analyze the problems of the mental health service mechanism for migrant children in the J community before social work intervention: First, the foundation of the mental health service mechanism at the micro-system level is weak. There is a lack of active help channels for migrant children’s mental health and a lack of platforms for peer interaction and parent-child communication, resulting in migrant children’s mental health not being addressed in a timely manner.Secondly, there is a poor channel for benign interaction between subsystems at the meso-system level.Insufficient interactive support among families of migrant children and imperfect home-school linkage mechanisms are not conducive to solving the mental health problems of migrant children.Thirdly, the mechanism of school mental health services at the level of appearance system is not perfect.Inadequate home-school-social linkage mechanism and imperfect school mental health service mechanism lead to the lack of attention to children’s mental health problems.Fourth, the macro-system level has insufficient policy convergence and community environment friendliness, which directly affect the development of mental health services for migrant children.Based on this, strategies to improve the mechanism of social work intervention in mental health services for migrant children are proposed: First,to give full play to the innermost advantages of the micro-system,establish independent help-seeking channels, build peer and parent-child interaction platforms, and provide direct support for migrant children.Second, strengthen the interface between the meso-system and the micro-system,build interactive communication platforms between families and families and between families and schools, and enhance the attention of families and schools to children’s mental health services.Third, promote the interaction and circulation between macro-system and exterior-system,link the advantages of family-school-society resources, and improve the school mental health service system;fourth, use the advantages of policy resources and community-friendly service environment to improve the construction of mental health service mechanism for migrant children.
