LeXicalization And Grammaticalization Of "X Qi"(X 其)and "Qi X"(其 X)

The article aims to examine and investigate the issues related to the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi"(X 其)and "qi X"(其 X),to analyze and compare the lexicalization and grammatization processes of both,to summarize their lexicalization and grammatization evolution patterns,and to investigate the evolution direction and role of "qi"(其)in the lexicalization and grammatization processes of "X qi" and "qi X",to sort out the motives and mechanisms of lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X",and to compare the similarities and differences of lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X".The article discusses the above issues in four parts.Firstly,the article examines the common and temporal functions of the pronoun"qi",the semantic,syntactic and pragmatic aspects of the modern Chinese pronoun"qi" are examined at the common level,and the origin of the pronoun "qi" is sorted out at the temporal level."The second part examines the grammaticalization of the pronoun "qi".Secondly,the lexicalization and grammaticalization of"X qi"is investigated.One of the ways of the existence of the virtual pronoun"qi"in modern Chinese is to participate in the construction of"X qi".In this paper,the three words"ji qi"(极其),"you qi"(尤其)and"he qi"(何其)in"X qi"are selected for investigation.In the process of lexicalization and grammaticalization of"X qi","qi"evolves from a pronoun to a word ending,and from an independent pronoun to an adherent component in the word.The"X qi"is lexicalized from a cross-layer structure.Again,we discuss the lexicalization and grammaticalization of"qi X",which is another way of existence of"qi"in modern Chinese after its fictionalization.In this paper,we take the words"qi shi"(其实),"qi ci"(其次),and"qi zhong"(其中),in"qi X"as the representatives,and discuss the lexicalization and grammatization of"qi X".In the process of lexicalization and grammaticalization of"qi X","qi"has developed from a pronoun indicating a collateral relationship to an intra-word component,and"qi X"has evolved from a bi-positive structure,and its evolution mechanism and characteristics are different from those of"X qi".Finally,a comprehensive comparison of the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X",a comparative analysis of the differences and commonalities in the evolution of the two types of words,an analysis of the role of "qi" in the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X",and an analysis of the direction and role of "X qi" and "qi X" in the evolution of the two types of words.The evolutionary direction and role of "qi" in the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X",and the analysis of the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X".The similarities and differences in the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X" are analyzed.Through the study of these four parts,this paper finds that there are differences in the evolutionary direction and role of "qi" in the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi" and "qi X".We conclude that "qi" plays a dominant role in the lexicalization and grammatization of "X qi",while its role in the lexicalization and grammatization of "qi X" is relatively weak.
