At the time of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, under the influence of factors such as the idea of loyal monarchs and the Southern Ming government’s commendation of death,a large number of martyrs and loyal people emerged. There are also some people who spend their days and nights as survivors in the powerlessness and guilt of failing to restore their loyalty, and Yu Guangling is one of them.Yu Guangling(1625-1697),as known as Xiaoling, was a native of Hongcun in Xincheng(present-day Lichuan,Jiangxi),and he is the son of Yu Rideng. After the death of the Ming Dynasty,he lived in seclusion in his hometown, and wrote The Collected Poems of Yu Guangling, which was included in the list of banned books due to fierce rhetoric in the thirty-fourth year of Qianlong(1769),and reappeared in the twenty-ninth year of Guangxu(1903).This paper takes The Collected Poems of Yu Guangling as a clue, combined with the records of Yu Guangling and his poetry collections in various documents such as local chronicles, anthologies, and genealogies, and discusses the image of Yu Guangling as a survivor in different documents,in order to get closer to the historical appearance of Yu Guangling. The full text contains two parts: the first part is mainly based on the records of local documents such as Qing dynasty local chronicles, anthologies, genealogies and so on,according to three different life stages, first of all,by studying Yu Guangling,it can be seen that he was deeply influenced by his father, and his anti-Qing thinking was strong, especially after suffering national changes and losing his father,he was sad and indignant, returned to the countryside, and lived in seclusion. He has no intention of living and is poor, but he is high and lonely. In middle and old age,he became more and more negative and hesitant, but his anti-Qing aspiration remained unchanged for life. The next part focuses on sorting out The Collected Poems of Yu Guangling and has a preliminary study: first, the different editions of The Collected Poems of Yu Guangling and the publishers are investigated, and the number of poems included in the collection and the start and end time are clarified. Then,it was divided into different topics and collected the poems with anti-Qing tendencies in The Collected Poems of Yu Guangling.Thirdly,Yu Guangling’s poems included in local chronicles, anthologies, genealogies and so on,can not only be compared with the content of The Collected Poems of Yu Guangling, which is collected into a collection, but also wants to examine Yu Guangling’s daily actions and mental journey through the poems included in other documents of these different historical periods. Finally, with the title of "Writing as the existence of the adherents of a former dynasty",the full text is concluded. At the end of the article, the full text of the Guangxu edition of The Collected Poems of Yu Guangling and the "Compendium of Yu Guangling Chronology" are attached, which are not only a by-product of the research and collation of this article, but also conducive to the continued investigation of other scholars.
