| Internet technology has provided a new means of transmission for music and injected new development momentum into the music industry.With the birth of Internet technology,digital music has become an important pillar of the music industry.In addition,the rapid development of China’s social economy has stimulated the demand for entertainment,making the digital music market usher in an unprecedented prosperity.The prosperity of the digital music industry has also brought more serious copyright infringement issues.Nowadays,digital music piracy is as easy as "copying and pasting".Due to the lagging nature of the law,digital music faces the problem of technological development faster than legal updates.Although the music industry is also constantly exploring and implementing various solutions,the rights and interests of music copyright owners are not only not effectively protected,but also facing a situation where the loss of music revenue is gradually expanding.The healthy and stable development of the digital music industry urgently requires measures that can effectively strengthen copyright protection.Blockchain technology has received widespread attention since its birth,and some scholars even believe that it can be comparable to Internet technology.The technical characteristics of decentralization,security,and tamper resistance make blockchain technology have a huge application potential to subvert industry rules in many industry fields,and digital music copyright protection is no exception.It provides an opportunity for digital music to rethink and improve copyright protection.Blockchain technology with unique advantages provides solutions to the challenges faced by digital music protection.However,we should also note that this technology is still in the exploration and development stage,and there are still various problems in applying it to digital music copyright protection.Blind promotion and application of this disruptive technology may have unpredictable consequences.Therefore,this article mainly analyzes and discusses the application of blockchain technology to digital music copyright protection from the following four parts,with a view to providing theoretical reference for promoting the combination of blockchain technology and digital music copyright protection,and assisting in the protection of digital music copyright.The first part mainly elaborates on the basic concepts of digital music and blockchain technology.For digital music,this section introduces the development status of digital music in China and the current protection system for digital music copyright in China,and analyzes the existing problems of digital music.For blockchain technology,this section describes the concept and development process of the technology,summarizes the underlying technologies used and the technical features possessed.The second part discusses in detail the necessity and feasibility of using blockchain technology to protect digital music copyright.On the one hand,the necessity of applying blockchain technology to digital music copyright is analyzed from three perspectives: the era and the country,the digital music industry itself,and personal needs.On the other hand,the feasibility of the application of blockchain technology in three aspects of digital music rights confirmation,usage,and protection was analyzed from the theoretical and practical levels.The third part systematically and comprehensively analyzes the problems existing in the application of blockchain technology in the protection of digital music copyright,including unclear effectiveness of blockchain music registration,flaws in the application of smart contracts,and vague identification standards for blockchain depository institutions.The fourth part is mainly based on the above issues and shortcomings of blockchain technology in protecting digital music copyright,and proposes targeted suggestions to address the risks of blockchain technology from three aspects: the confirmation,use,and protection of digital music copyright. |
