As a visual business card of a city,city image poster has the characteristics of the times,such as shaping the attractive city image,highlighting the unique brand of the city and promoting the sustainable development of the city.Therefore,how to better design city image posters and how to use them effectively is an important means for the external communication of city culture.With the development of Internet technology and intelligent media,poster design and application have a higher quality and convenient publishing platform,which is of great social significance for bearing the historical evolution of the city,recording and promoting the history and culture of the city.In recent years,landmark buildings in Chongqing,such as Hongyadong and Liziba,are constantly appearing on short video platforms and are popular all over the network,but the representative city image posters of Chongqing are wrong.Therefore,taking Chongqing as an example,starting from the importance and mechanism of regional culture in the design and application of city image posters,this paper discusses how to use regional culture to effectively express the connotation of the city and make it better serve the development of the city.Regional culture is the embodiment of the city’s intrinsic cultural value,so how to better design the poster of the city image has become a topic worthy of study and discussion.Therefore,in the design and application of city image posters,we should pay attention to refining and summarizing the visual symbols in regional culture,and concentrate on expressing the distinctive features of regional culture,thus increasing the city’s awareness.From the perspective of regional culture,this paper selects Chongqing as the research area,aiming to explore the relationship between regional culture and city image,carry out research on the design and application of city image posters,and try to provide creative techniques,design principles and application strategies of city image posters.First of all,the article explains the relationship between regional culture and city posters,analyzes excellent cases of city image poster design at home and abroad,and summarizes the important significance and time value of regional culture to the creation and application of city posters.Secondly,combing the shaping characteristics of geographical environment and humanistic social factors on Chongqing’s regional culture,combined with the current social lifestyle and aesthetic city image poster as a city’s visual business card,it has the characteristics of shaping a charming city image,highlighting the city’s unique brand and promoting the sustainable development of the city.Therefore,how to better design city image posters and how to use them effectively is an important means for the external communication of city culture.With the development of Internet technology and intelligent media,poster design and application have a higher quality and convenient publishing platform,which is of great social significance for bearing the historical evolution of the city,recording and promoting the history and culture of the city.Based on the importance and mechanism of regional culture in the design and application of city image posters,this paper discusses how to use regional culture to effectively express the city connotation and make it better serve the city development.Regional culture is the embodiment of the city’s intrinsic cultural value,so how to better design the poster of the city image has become a topic worthy of study and discussion.Therefore,in the design and application of city image posters,we should pay attention to refining and summarizing the visual symbols in regional culture,and concentrate on expressing the distinctive features of regional culture,thus increasing the city’s awareness.
