Qiqihar Traffic Guide Design Based On Regional Culture

With the rapid development of urbanization, social development is diversified. In thecomplex social environment, rhythm and order are needed to enrich and maintain the city life.Sign design is the efficient transmission carrier of city information, which can guide theaudience to find the position and orientation of their needs and to protect people’s wellarranged life order. It has become the visual media to communicate with the environment,which brings rich hierarchy, clarity and simplicity to the city space.As an important part of city information visual transmission system, city traffic signdesign can make the audience rapidly identify the effective information. The influence of theregional culture to the city is ingrained and the regional culture will leave mark to any city. Interms of this, it is not difficult to see that the regional culture for a city is equivalent to thesoul to our human beings. Accurately grasp the characteristics of the regional culture is thespirit of the city we live. It is necessary for designers to consciously grasp, scientifically makeuse of and reasonably inherit the connotation of regional culture in their work, which canimprove the development and continuation of the environment art in our city.Taking the actual problem as the guide, combining with the theory of regional culture,this thesis introduces the research background, purpose and significance, reviews the researchstatus at home and abroad. It analyzes the concepts, characteristics, values, classification andcomposing elements of the regional culture and traffic sign system; it summarizes thedevelopment and the problems of the city traffic guidance in our country; it concludes theresearch methods of traffic sign design of the cities in our country and the expression of theregional culture; it attempts to embody the characteristics of the regional culture and the spiritconnotation of the city through the sign design system. This thesis analyzes and researches thetwo aspects: the application and the development of the regional culture in the sign systemand the construction of the visual image in Qiqihar. Based on the successful designexperience, this thesis puts forward some principles and methods of city visual sign designunder the the impact of the concept of regional culture and designs the traffic sign systemtargeting at Qiqihar to help it to build a city image which is harmonious from inside to outside,common, sustainable developing and full of regional culture features.
