Critical On Religious Teleology

The criticism of religion teleology plays an important role in the study of religious issues and historical materialism.It is an inevitable link for Marx and Engels to turn to political criticism and political economy criticism,and to establish historical materialism,and is the premise of other criticism.This paper starts with the understanding of religion from the perspective of teleology.Thinking about interpreting the relationship between religious teleology and the nature of religion and human nature,to elucidate the religion teleology is the development of teleology in the nature of religion.Secondly,based on the books which Feuerbach criticized religion,r,this paper analyzes the basic viewpoints of Feuerbach’s religious teleology criticism.And on the basis of the argument to Feuerbach’s religious teleology on the view of nature and the limitations of the view of history analysis.Then,based on the text of Marx and Engels,this paper expounds the three different stages in the historical logic of Marx and Engels’ religious criticism,and then analyzes the basic viewpoints on the criticism of religious teleology.And On the basis of the comparison between Feuerbach and Marx and Engels on the criticism of religious teleology,this paper discusses where Marx and Engels put forward the criticism of Feuerbach.Finally,with religious teleology sublation horizon,analysis of the essence of man.Finally,through the rational understanding of the criticism of religion teleology,analyze the realization ways of human essence,grasp the practical value of the purpose in the historical materialism.The criticism of religion teleology has experienced the historical process.Feuerbach criticized from the perspective of abstract person,and based on the speciesessence,he ascribed religion to secular foundations,and tried to transcend the old religion with a "religion of love." Marx and Engels sublated Feuerbach’s humanism,defined the human essence from the perspective of realistic society and practical people,criticized the alienation of human beings and turns to the alienation of labor,and further criticized the practice of material production.Marx and Engels’ s criticism of religion teleology stood at the height of historical materialism,sublated Feuerbach’s criticism of religion teleology,absorbed the reasonable contents,and made his own revolutionary innovation,transcended Feuerbach’s view of religion,thus formed the historical materialism religious views,and realized the revolutionary change from religious criticism to social criticism and practical criticism.
