The principal method Tai-hsu adopted to criticize Christian religion is the method of Buddhist tradition. He discusses several contradictions in the God Theory, by adopting the method and even the expressions taken by the early Buddhism to defeat Mahissara. He also adopts Weishixue to analyze human beings' concept of God, and identifies that God is the illusions. The other method he adopted is modern value, that is, science, democracy, freedom and equality, to which Christian religion are contrary. Therefore, Christian religion should be exempted from the modern society. His criticism to Christian religion is the essence of Buddhist tradition and the outcome of the time, which not only responds to Christian religion's challenges, but also to the social ideological trend of anti-religion, and constitutes the theoretical framework for Buddhism to survive. His criticism, though has stirred up the religious circles, can neither be accepted by the common people, nor changes people's attitudes towards Buddhism. That reflects marginalization the inevitable condition of Buddhism in modern China.
