| After the Ministry of Education of China issued the requirements of the new curriculum reform,Guiyang City followed the footsteps of reform and conducted the English listening and speaking human-computer test for the first time in 2021.This reform has set off a re-examination of listening and speaking teaching.Listening and speaking teaching has always been an important research content of English education reform.After reviewing a large number of relevant literature and combining with real teaching experience,the author finds that the current research on junior high school English listening and speaking teaching has the following commonalities: 1.Compared with other types of classes,the proportion of listening and speaking teaching research is small;2.In listening and speaking classes,the proportion of training time for "listening" and "speaking" is small;3.In most listening and speaking classes,only a small number of students can get adequate listening and speaking training and immediate feedback.While every student should be cared and get equal opportunity to learn and practice English in an English class.The English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)stresses the significance of information technology in English class,and it points out that teachers need to learn and use the network to provide more learning resources,build a platform for students to learn independently and improve the efficiency of students’ English learning.In addition,“Murder Mystery Game” is a social game that young people are very keen on nowadays.It requires active interaction among participants,and it can mobilize the participants’ information integration ability,analysis ability,inference ability,critical thinking ability,expression ability,and collaboration ability.In summary,the author connects the education reform with real teaching needs to do a research on improving the English listening and speaking ability of junior high school students.This study uses modern information technology to transfer the "Murder Mystery Game" mode into English classes by creating a real immersive context,giving every student timely feedback,and establishing big data resources to record students’ learning process to promote students’ interest in learning and to improve students’ listening and speaking ability.Under the guidance of constructivism and blended learning theory,this study adopted literature research method,experimental method,questionnaire survey method and interview method to carry out the action research for three months.The subjects of the experiment are two classes of grade nine(68 people).The test data came from the Xi You English Listening and Speaking platform,and the data were analyzed and compared through SPSS.The purpose of this study is to study the effect of the "R-O-S-E" English listening and speaking teaching mode on the improvement of students’ listening and speaking ability.It focuses on three questions: 1.Can the "R-O-S-E" teaching mode improve junior middle school students’ interest in English listening and speaking? 2.Whether the "R-O-S-E" teaching mode can improve students’ listening and speaking ability so as to improve the performance of man-machine test or not? 3.What are the problems in the "R-O-S-E" teaching mode class? How to improve the efficiency of English listening and speaking class in junior middle school?After three rounds of experimental research,it is found that compared with the control class,the experimental class has a more obvious improvement in oral English test scores,and has made great progress in speech perception ability,language understanding ability,language application ability and language expression ability.Meanwhile,the "R-O-S-E" teaching mode can significantly improve students’ interest in English learning,reduce their anxiety about learning English subjects and speaking English,and enhance students’ confidence in English learning.Thus,this study fully proves the feasibility and effectiveness of the "R-O-S-E" teaching mode. |
